Greece: February 2, 2009 at age 90. Ann is predeceased by her husband Joe Shacek. She is survived by nieces, Kathy Bills & Anita(Dale) Snell; sister-in-law, Gertrude Piniales; dear friend, Marcella Valeska; nephews & great nephews. Ann was a retiree of A&P Supermarket, volunteered at Meals On Wheels & was an avid seamstress. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church & St. George’s Church. Friends may call Wednesday, 10A.M. to 12 NOON at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Service will follow visitation at 12 NOON in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Ann was a dear friend and neighbor who will be sadly missed. I know that she has joined Joe and Becky and the three of them will be having bacon and eggs for breakfast every Sunday. Love, Marilyn
