Andrew J. O’May (Andy, Ange)

Hilton:  Saturday, December 4, 2021 at age 63 went home to be with his Lord and Savior; He is Predeceased by his mother and father Bernadette and Thomas and siblings, Lillian, Miriam, Patricia, James, Bonnie. Andrew is survived by his loving daughter Melissa B. (Donald J. III) Wenzel; adoring grandchildren, Tiffany J. Wenzel, Jeremiah J. Wenzel and Joseph Wenzel; siblings, Katherine (Charles) Holler, Michael (Cindi) O’May, Brenda (Chris) Crye, David (Shirley) O’May, Joseph (Cindy Powers) O’May, Thomas (Arlene) O’May; special nieces and nephews; and many loving family and dear friends.

Andrew was a humble carpenter who was always a hard worker. He had a “green thumb” and could often be seen in the garden in the summer months growing vegetables and flowers. He had a servant’s heart, and was always volunteering for activities at his church, First Bible Baptist Church. In the last few years of his life, he had even become a regular blood donor. In his younger years he played soccer, and his love of the sport and people were the reasons he coached soccer most of his adult life too. He even coached his daughter and all three of his grandchildren at some point. When Andrew wasn’t watching classic movies or studying the Bible for institute, he was spending all of his free time with his grandchildren, who he doted on regularly.

Andrew will be incredibly missed by all he encountered. We know this is only goodbye for now. We will see you again someday in heaven. “Well done, good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:23.

His Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 7:00pm at First Bible Baptist Church, 990 Manitou Rd, Hilton. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Andrew’s grandchildren’s college fund. Please send donations to 520 Peck Rd, Spencerport NY 14559.

You could not find an event, activity or ministry at First Bible Baptist without finding Andy volunteering in some way. He was especially active in AWANA and in Happy 5 Soccer ministries. He was a fine example of a servant in God’s Kingdom. Rest well, see you again soon Andy!

Any event I was coordinating, Andrew was always one of the first to volunteer. A great servant of the Lord! Will be missed by many. Our sympathies to his family.

Andrew was a gentleman, a hard worker and a wonderful Christian man. Always willing to help make anything better. He always labored to do his best work at his next life assignment, whatever that might be. Andrew leaves a huge gap to fill. He will be missed by many! But we shall see him some day.

Andy was always a blessing and we enjoyed seeing his enthusiasm serving in Awana and being the first to say hello when we walked into church. We always enjoyed his fun loving smile and his great love for the Lord. Can not wait to see you again Andy…..Melissa we know how much you loved your dad and know how much you will miss him. We are praying for your family.

So sad to learn of this. Andy was a good friend at Hilton high school. Great fun. His life was not easy but he redeemed his adversity in inspiring and magnificent fashion.
