Sandifer, Alyce D. Greece: beloved wife of James R. ‘Sandy’ Sandifer died at the age of 72 years, 9 months, and 17 days of cancer Friday afternoon, July 17, 2015 in Rochester General Hospital after a valiant fight for life. She is survived by her husband, her sisters Darleen and Roberta, her niece Lauren, nephews Gilbert and Kenneth, among others, and many great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, David and Kathryn Deer, her sister Ardith, and her nephew Eric. Most of all, she is survived by a host of loving friends, including virtually everyone who ever met her, but especially her childhood friend, Pat Villareale, who was at her bedside when she died. To know Alyce was to love her. Friends may call Wednesday, July 29, 2015 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, where her service will be held Thursday morning, July 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Lipson Cancer Center, Rochester General Hospital; Louisiana Oncology LLC in West Monroe, Louisiana; The Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf; or The American Indian Relief Council in her memory. I worked with Alyce at Kodak Medical. She was a wonderful person and so smart! I truly enjoyed our time together. She will be missed by many. Goodbye, Alyce.

Hello Sandy, I am so sorry for your loss. I too enjoyed working with Alyce, always very professional & efficient. I believe I am the one that took the photo of the KP Medical group. It was taken on 9/20/84 at a farewell party for Nancy Maher (standing, top left). I can identify all the others as well. I am Karen, (kneeling bottom left). Haven’t seen most of these ladies in many years.
