Greece: Monday, September 28, 2009. Predeceased by her husband, John Kress; daughter, Karen Faul; brother, Harold Sherwood; sister, Edna Stoughton. Survived by her daughter, Susan Deutscher; grandchildren, Mark, Heidi, Matthew, Kevin and Amy; 10 great-grandchildren; niece, Joyce Garvin. No prior calling. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday 9:00 AM in the chapel of Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. Interment, Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church in her memory.

    Dear Family, I am so sorry about Alice. She lived a good long life. I was so sorry about Kaen also. I called Delores and Marie Gleason. I will try to get to the funeral. My condolences to all of you. Marlea Sherwood

    I have many memories of Alice over the years. And, heard many stories of Alice and her sister, Edna, as I was growing up. While in the same generation, she was 25 years older and a pretty and accomplished cousin to look up to. She will be remembered and missed by a large family. The matriach has passed.     Susan and Family, I’m so sorry for the loss of your Mom, Grandmother, & Aunt. You probably don’t remember us,. My grandmother, Dorothy Favata worked with Alice at the Mt. Read Medical Bldg. And she would often visit Grandma at her house. It is very remarkable that your Mom had a long life. My Mom is Kendall Miller, who also knew your Mom well. Again our deepest sympathy to all of you.
