Luke, Albert G., Sr. Greece: August 27, 2011 at age 92. Predeceased by his wife, Constance Luke. Albert is survived by his children, Albert G. (Bettie) Luke, Jr., Carolyn (Daniel) McGarvey & Cynthia (Scott) Learch; grandchildren, Matthew (Elizabeth) McGarvey, Thomas (Deborah) McGarvey & Casey Learch; great-grandchildren, Katie, Maggie & Patrick; brothers, Paul (Ruth) Luke & Walter (Marie) Luke; sister, Jane (Daniel) Downs; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. Albert is a Veteran of the United States Navy and served in World War II. He is s retiree of Eastman Kodak after over 46 years of employment and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends may call Tuesday, August 30th, 6-8 p.m. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece Chapel, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Wednesday, August 31st, 9 A.M. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Avenue. Interment will follow Mass in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Dear Cindy, and Luke family… I am so sad to hear of your dad’s passing. I have so many fond memories of him from our childhood days. More recently, he always sent us a beautiful Christmas card with a handwritten note. What a wonderful man. Our deepest sympathies. Kim, Tom, Tim and Megan Maier
My condolences to the family. I was not able to attend due to health issues but I will miss Al’s wonderful smile and cute notes on our christmas card every year. Take care and our thoughts are with you all. God bless Mary
