Climer, Albert E. Greece: Monday, April 25, 2016 at age 93. Predeceased by his parents, Francis and Florence Climer; brother, William Climer; sister, Lillian Lond; first wife, Doris K. (Trost) Climer, son-in-law, James W. Preston, Sr.; many in-laws. Survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Esma K. Climer; his children, John D. (Bonnie J.) Climer, Charles E. (Deborah) Climer, Marie Preston, Thomas (Dodie) Hartmann, John (Martina) Hartmann, James (Tarra) Hartmann; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Al was a proud veteran of World War II, a foster care parent to many children and a Boy Scout Leader for over 60 years. He was a dedicated member of Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Friends may call Friday (April 29th) 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held Saturday (April 30th) 10:00 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Seneca Waterways Counsel in his memory. My sincere condolences to Esma and all the Climer family. He was a friend, and I will miss his cheerful voice and smile. I am sorry that I must be out of town for his calling and services.
My heart is sad for the loss of my dear brother-in- law, Al. I will miss him forever for his happy smile, his friendship and kindness to me. May his soul rest in peace.
Our love and deepest sympathy go out to you, Esma, and the entire family. Al was such a special man who will be greatly missed. Our Mother of Sorrows won’t be the same without him. Rest in peace, Al.

You will never be forgotten. You touched so many hearts. I am sad to see you go but this is not the end, I know that I will see you again. When ever I look up, know that I am thinking of You. Al was a well loved man and the foundation of Troop130. He will be missed.
Mr. Climber was a dear friend of my dad and was my scout leader many many years ago. Went to school with his son John. He was a great man a tremendous scout leader and devout Catholic. He will be missed dearly. Rest in peace Mr. Climber your work is done May God bless you.
Al has left a huge hole in the Mother of Sorrows community. He was a fixture there for many decades involved in all aspect of parish life, all the while making people feel welcome and bringing a smile to everyone’s face with his jokes. I will miss you Al as will everyone at MOS.
