Al and I worked together for many years and had lots of laughs together. Al loved his golf and was the inspiration for the fund raising event to benefit Camp Good Days for some 10 years It made alot of kids happy and I hope that he will be remembered for his efforts. My wife and I shared some good times with Al away from the job. We want to express sincere regrets to all of Al’s family and will keep you in our prayers. God Bless. Dick and Carol Schmitt
Al was a man with a wonderful charismatic personality – an outstanding attribute that prevailed to the end. He was an exceptional man for his family, for his humanity, and for his friendships. There was nothing remote about Al’s sense of dignity, strength and courage – making the point beyond words. He was the wise counsel with kindness, understanding and a strong faith in his fellow man. Al had a keen sense of awareness & the wisdom of perspective, and developed a fascinating philosophy about life that became an indelible imprint to those so near and dear to him. I believe so much of Al’s legacy will be carried forward through the unconditional love of his family, many relatives and extended family of friends. There was a kindness, simplicity & goodness of character that marked so many years of Al’s life. Many people will walk in and out of our lives, but it is this special love Al shared with so many, that will leave the deepest footprints in our hearts. I have heard countless expressions & tributes of affection towards Al Infantino. It has to do with his giving of himself so readily and openly. I never knew him to have a shallow relationship. For his loved ones, Al kept a place in his heart that never grew old. We shall forever celebrate his loving spirit. And as we close the final chapter of Al’s life here on Earth, I’d like to say: ‘Al, we honor your grace, your courage, and above all, the great love you gave to us all. Let that be a part of your legacy.’ God Bless. Your Friend, Ron Pawley
Al, you were the best. You made every single day at KPFD fun, entertaining, and well worth coming to work. You wil always be remembered as one of my best friends, we lost contact after 2006, but you were always mentioned one time or another. May you rest in peace Brother.
Fair weather and God speed my freind. I will never forget the lessons you taught me in our all to breif time together. Our condolances go out to your family. It is never easy to lose a loved one. Semer Peratus my freind.
I remember Al at Edgerton park, as kids we would play baseball and just hang out together. I just wanted to say that his passing has touched my heart for the friend I have lost, but will live on in my found memories. My Prays are with you at this time of your lose and may peace be with us all.
Lots of great times with Al at KPFD. Best was when we were the bowling champs from the old Greece Firemen’s League. Liked to give nicknames to everyone. Worked in dispatch with my Father-in-law Lou Baxter. Some of the stories that were told are classics. Will miss you pal.
My deepest sympathy to the Infantino family at this difficult time. Al was always admired by his fellow firefighters at Kodak. We in the front office remarked often about his wonderful sense of humor and his fine work record as a Fire Inspector. He was well connected and his volunteer work for us raising funds for Camp Good Days was excellent. And who can forget those stilts he wore while mudding those drywall ceiling joints? One of my favorite Al stories was when a bunch of us met one night at the well known Infantino’s Italian Restaurant on Lake Avenue. During our meal – out of nowhere a huge fly made its last commando dive into my wife’s ravioli. Instantly Al was on his feet yelling for our waiter. Turns out they had recently fumigated the place. That was not good enough for Al. Pat got a new plate of pasta and when we all left there was no bill to be paid by anyone. Whenever we’d bring up the story to Al, he would always remark, ‘It pays to know people in low places.’ Rest easy old pal.
Our sympathy to Al’s family and friends. It was a pleasure to know and work with him; and he treated Sylvia, Shawn, Erika and I like family. We have missed him since I retired and moved to Georgia, but we will never forget him. God Bless Alan and Family
