Ada Proia Greece: Friday, July 30, 2021 at age 96 went home to be with her husband, Toni; 11 siblings; sister, Alda Pappano. She is survived by her loving son, Anthony (Jane Ellen) Proia; sister-in-law, Loretta Carbone; niece, Emily Plantone; nephew, Rino Pappano; nieces, nephews; cousins; many loving family and dear friends. Ada had a very tender, kind heart and was a peacemaker. She enjoyed her home and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Ada’s visitation will be held Tuesday, August 3rd 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Rd. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated Wednesday, August 4th 10:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hildebrandt Hospice c/o Rochester Regional Foundations 330 Monroe Avenue Suite 400 Rochester, NY 14607 in her memory. So sorry to learn of her passing but also so glad to hear that she is at peace. As Tony said, "She was tough right to the end."! I can imagine… She certainly was a good woman, devoted wife and caring mother. She is definitely with the Lord finally, as we all know.
