I was on the cross country team with Dan at Greece Arcadia in 1973. I was the first girl to join the team and I have always remembered how kind and welcoming Dan was toward me. He would often sit with me on the bus and ran with me during practice (though I’m sure he was much faster). I have always remembered his kindness and maturity during that year and regret that I missed the chance to tell him that in person. Dan must have been a wonderful husband and father. I’m very sorry for your loss.
