Survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Fern Wright; sons, Gordon (Pamela) Wright, William (Rhonda) Karker, James (Carrie) Karker; daughters, S. Lee Wright, F. Cathi (David) Balonek, Dawn (Joseph) Steehler; sisters, Patricia (Richard) O’Brien, Betty Brady; grandchildren, Terrance & Tyler Wright, Julie & Joe, Jr. Steehler, Scott & Amelia Balonek, Ryan & Cassidy Karker, Will & Robert Karker, Ronnie & James Karker; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. Wilmer was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was an active member of the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Memorial Service will be held Thursday 10:00 AM at Browncroft Community Church, 2530 Browncroft Blvd., 14625. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wayne County Rural Ministry, Come-Unity Center, 4095 West Main St., PO Box 73, Williamson, NY 14589 or Good News Jail and Prison Ministry, 130 Plymouth Ave. South, Rochester, NY 14614 in his memory.
