William “Bill” Ras

Passed away, at home with his family by his side, on Sunday May 3, 2020 at age 65, after a brief battle with lymphoma. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Jim Ras and his sister, Joanne Ras. He is survived by his wife, Karen, his daughter Katherine and granddaughter, Jamie, his brothers, Gary (Ann Marie) Thomas (Kitty) and several nieces, nephews and cousins, and his best feline friend, Abby.

Bill was a manager at Nylomold in Rochester and at Con-Med in Utica, NY. He was a gifted mechanic, loved to tinker with machines and had a vast knowledge of computers. He was an uncomplicated man who loved his family and treasured his friends.

  3. Dear Karen and Kate, I am so very sorry for your loss. Bill was a great guy. I will remember all the fantastic times the aunts, uncles and cousins had on our vacations to Cape Vincent every year. Rest in Peace Billy.

  7. Thinking of you, Karen and Katie, and hoping you’re finding some comfort knowing that Bill isn’t suffering any longer. He will be remembered fondly. By the way, I still have the pump he rigged so many years ago so I could drain the water coming into the basement. He could fix anything!
