William “Bill” Ras Passed away, at home with his family by his side, on Sunday May 3, 2020 at age 65, after a brief battle with lymphoma. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Jim Ras and his sister, Joanne Ras. He is survived by his wife, Karen, his daughter Katherine and granddaughter, Jamie, his brothers, Gary (Ann Marie) Thomas (Kitty) and several nieces, nephews and cousins, and his best feline friend, Abby. Bill was a manager at Nylomold in Rochester and at Con-Med in Utica, NY. He was a gifted mechanic, loved to tinker with machines and had a vast knowledge of computers. He was an uncomplicated man who loved his family and treasured his friends. At Bill’s request, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of his life is planned for later this year. I miss you Daddy; it’s finally starting to settle in that you’re gone and I seem to be having a tough time with it. I’m glad you’re not in pain anymore though. I love you.

Thinking of you, Karen and Katie, and hoping you’re finding some comfort knowing that Bill isn’t suffering any longer. He will be remembered fondly. By the way, I still have the pump he rigged so many years ago so I could drain the water coming into the basement. He could fix anything!

My Prayers and Thoughts go out to the Entire Ras Families.I Remember Bill When he was the boss of finishing at Nylomold back in the mid 80’s. My Father was the Plant Manager. While I was there, I had some great times going to lunch with him and our Shipper Brian Piotter. Great Guy. Glad to have known him. R.I.P Bill, Say hello to Brian P.
