  1. Dear BEST Friend Bud,

We’re really going to miss you, but we know you’ll be looking out for all of us. From the day we first met you thirteen years ago, you’ve done nothing but bring a smile to our faces. We first met when you were so sweet as to ask why our big German Shepherd, Max, was no longer with us on our walks past your house. That was soon after we lost Max to old age. Shortly after, you met our new little ball of fire, Heidi, and seeing you on our walks became the high point of her (and our) day. How strongly she pulls when we’re within sight of your house! Seeing the two of you together, with her sitting so pretty as you gave her her treats really made us smile. We’ve totally enjoyed seeing both of you light up! How we enjoyed our visits with you, walking through your garden, and making off with all of the veggies you were so generous to give us. You never failed to ask how we were all doing, through layoffs, little health problems, etc. A visit with you was all it took to lighten our mood. We’ll miss you terribly. We’ll think of you all the time and that will always make us smile. You’re simply the best! We feel so lucky to have had you in our lives. Keep the light on for us and some dog treats within reach.

    Your very good friends,
    Donna, Bill, and Heidi Fierstein
