Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at age 95. Predeceased by her husband, Edward B. Goodman, Sr.; sons, Edward Goodman, Jr., James Goodman, Thomas Goodman; son-in-law, Robert M. Neary; granddaughters, Mary Therese, Juliann. Survived by her daughters, Dorothy (Robert) Keenan, Helen Neary; daughters-in-law, Kathleen Goodman, Carol Goodman; sister-in-law, Mary Goodman; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Monroe Community Hospital, Friendship 4-W for the loving care given to Verna.
Friends may call Monday 3-6 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 11:00 AM in Holy Rosary Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mercy Outreach Center, 142 Webster Avenue, Rochester, NY 14609 in her memory.
