With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Timothy F. Nolan, a proud Marine, and unwavering Buffalo Bills fan, on November 14th, 2023.  Preceded in death by his parents Hugh P. and Margaret M. Nolan, his sister Barbara Nolan Burke, brother-In-law Thomas Burke and his beloved wife Jacqueline Nolan.

He leaves  behind  his sister Mary (Joe) Musso, and stepson Joseph (Brooke) Tesche along with nieces, nephews, and cousins, including beloved cousins Deborah (Terence) Reilly, and Terrance {Barbara) Nolan, who were especially dear to him. His departure also leaves a void in the hearts of his numerous cherished friends, many of whom shared memories dating back to their days at St. Monica’s and the19th Ward.

Tim’s life was a journey that took him to various corners of the country, including California, Florida, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and his global travels as a US Marine. Yet no matter where he resided, he remained a true Rochesterian at heart serving as a passionate ambassador of the city.

In the final chapter of his Journey, he chose to return to his beloved Rochester, the city that always held a special place in his heart.

His memory will continue to inspire and his spirit will forever be a part of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Per Tim’s request, his Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Monica’s Church, 831 Genesee Street, on Monday, December 11th at 10 a.m. with burial following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots.

    We acknowledge and are truly grateful for his service to our country.

  2. I went to grammar school with Tim at St. Monica in the same class. I was very sorry to see his obituary in the Sunday newspaper, and I want to express my sincere condolences and prayers to all of Tim’s family and friends.
    I am glad to see that he had a very full life since I last saw him. Thank you for your service too, Tim!
