Although we’ve been friends of Barb’s for 22 years, we’d never met Stephanie until this past summer. But it was surely worth the wait. What a wonderful lady – a joy to spend time with. We treasure those few special days —

  6. I am so sorry to hear of Stephanie’s passing. I first met Stephanie when her family moved to Latta Rd. when we were in third grade. We stayed good friends all thru high school & college. I remember many fun times spent at the Latta Rd. homestead. Most recently, I spent a wonderful evening with her & friends at our 45th Nazareth College reunion. My thoughts & prayers go to her family.

    Margaret Begley Vachher

  7. I share with her Nazareth College classmates in sending condolences to the Barker Family. I’m sure those of us who knew Stephanie well have special memories of our college days together.

  8. My 13 years of working with Stephanie have a lot of memories. She taught me a lot about business and life in general. She has been a great memtor. I have enjoyed getting to know her family and freinds. I will miss her every morning when she use to open the door for me and say ‘Good Morning’ She will be very missed at the CU. Greg and I will be praying for you Bob and the whole family. Take care of Buddy for her. Our Love prayes and blessings on the family

  9. My grandmother, Stella Zaraecki and ‘Uncle Leo’Âť were cousins (we think). At any rate, one of my fondest memories as a child was venturing out to the country to visit the Sawykos on Latta Rd. I was an only child and therefore looked forward to a family of four kids and all the neat projects and/or adventures they were into. But I especially remember Stephanie and how she took me under her wing since her brothers were mostly into boy stuff. I never forgot the huge piano that sat in their living room, right there in the corner to the right by the front windows. And Stephanie would actually play that piano. How I wished I had a piano like that and could actually play. We would do girl stuff and sometimes I got to sleep over. She was always kind to me. She seemed to always be smiling. I grew to admire Stephanie and therefore asked her be my sponsor for Conformation. Why did I never tell her these memories? Why didn’t we get together more often? Love, Stella

  10. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. We were very happy that we got to visit with Stephanie last year on our visits back to Rochester.
