Stanley F. Hwalek
Greece: Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at age 99. Predeceased by his wife, Gertrude; 2 sisters and brother. Survived by his son, Robert Hwalek; daughter, Karen (Geoffrey) Barrow; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. Stanley was a retiree of DuPont and was a Pearl Harbor survivor with the U. S. Navy.
No prior calling. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday (May 3rd) 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 West Ridge Road. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will follow Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church in his memory. I’m sorry for your loss. Stan was a great guy, and a proud WW2 vet. I enjoyed breaking bread many times with Stan, Joe Hwalek & Sally Chwiecko when I lived on Peckham Street. He will be missed by many.
