Stanley A. Ward
August 26, 1929 ~ April 23, 2011
Greece: April 23, 2011 at age 81 after a courageous battle with ALS. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marie Ward; son, Arthur (Mary) Ward; grandchildren, Evan & Colin Ward; brother, Kenneth Ward; brother-in-law, Frank (Nellie) Kruppenbacher; many dear friends.
Stanley is a retiree of Taylor Instruments after over 34 years of service and enjoyed an additional 16 years at National as a school bus driver. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the family and friends that visited Stanley, Dr. Neeta Rekhi, Lori, Sharon and the staff of Visiting Nurse Service Hospice for their outstanding care and support.
Friends may call Wednesday, 4-7 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece Chapel, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Service will be held, following visitation at 7 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel. His Graveside Service will be held Thursday, 11 A.M. at Riverside Cemetery (Please meet the family at the gate). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Service Hospice, 2180 Empire Boulevard, Webster, NY 14580 or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, ALS Division
