  1. I am sorry for your loss. May your mom’s memory bring you comfort.

  2. What a beautiful woman and lovely back-fence neighbor! Sheila and I shared a love of the outdoors and gardens, and I remember her care for her yard as long as she could prune the bushes and cut the grass (into her mid-80s, if I am correct). I always thought of Sheila as a gutsy woman–joining the WRENS and then moving to this strange new land so faraway from everything familiar. I enjoyed hearing about East Anglia and her English roots. She was also gutsy in that she was a widow for so many years, yet still thrived; she “schooled” me on the fact that a widow should still fix a decent meal, even if there was no man around to enjoy it! I have missed our back fence conversations but will always remember her.
