Scott Deane Rochester, New York died suddenly at his home March 10, 2024 at age 58. Scott was born in Rochester to mother Vera Bellavia and father Donald Deane. Both of Rochester (both deceased) in 1966. Scott is survived by his daughter Connie-Rose Deane (Moriches, NY) and partner Larry Glore (Rochester). Also his brother Steven Petras and sister Kathy Voss (Tracy) all of Rochester. Two aunts, three nephews, plus many cousins, round out his large family. Scott graduated from Greece Athena High School in 1984. He attended Monroe Community College and received a degree in 2011 from Everest College. Scott worked at many local companies throughout his career as a customer service specialist; Rochester Airport Marriott, Excellus Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Staples to name a few. Scott enjoyed the company of his friends leading them in many of his humorous stories anyways ending with much laughter and begging him to tell one more. He also had a great love of movies, everything from Sci-Fi to Hollywood’s Golden Classics. He was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan. He was also famous for his delicious macaroni salad which was always a hit at any gathering. His humor, confidence and never ending love for his family and friends will be remembered by many that knew him. Any charitable donations in Scott’s name should be made to the donor’s choice. Services to be held at a later date.

I am so sorry to hear of Scott’s loss, especially to Larry who was a coworker friend of mine. Hoping great memories are soothing for Larry and family, friends.

Scott, from walking the neighborhood at 15, late night coffee with friends at Perkins, to FB updates on cute, shirtless men jogging by your house and play by play updates on the Greek Fest in your backyard—you always made me laugh and I love you for it! This is a shock. I’m gonna need a minute. Larry and Connie Rose–my heart breaks for you. So much love in your family–I hope you find peace that he is in your and so many other hearts always!♡♡♡
Larry and Connie Rose- my deepest sympathies. Scott was such a kind, smart, and funny man. I am left with such fond memories of us ditching classes and heading to Perkins, just wandering around or hanging at MCC. My memories of our time together are filled with laughter. I am grateful to have been able to say we were friends. You will be missed.
When Scott and I were 10 years old his dad married my mom. We were brother and sister for the 3 years they were married and I always referred to him as my sorta-brother. Our parents took us to Letchworth park for a day trip. On the way home as we listened to the radio the news came on. The announcer started talking about some government official named Lipschitz. OMG Scott took that name and ran with it! We laughed so hard! It’s such a treasured memory for me. I will miss you my brother.

I’m so sorry to hear this! Scott was a great guy and we have so many fun memories of him both in and out of work. Thinking of all his family and friends and sending hugs!
