Greece: Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Williams; her son, Gary Williams. Survived by her daughter, Gwen Williams; grandchildren, Todd (Tara) Williams, Matt (Sonya) Williams, Carol (Jason) Lustig, Mary Elizabeth Williams; 5 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Barbara Harmer; dear friends. The family would like to thank the Unity Adult Daycare Services at St. Bernard's for the loving care given to Ruth.
Friends may call Thursday 5-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday 1:00 PM at Christ Church, 141 East Avenue. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Unity Adult Daycare Services at St. Bernard's in her memory.

i am so very sorry…ruth was such a wonderful neighbor and friend to my parents throughout the many years…i always admired her courage and strength after losing a son – i remember my mother sobbing into the phone after hearing the news and telling me nothing could be harder in life than losing a child. you were so brave, ruth…may you rest now in peace.
