Ruth F. Uhrenholdt (Blanchard)
Tuesday, May 16 2023 at age 89. Ruth is survived by her beloved husband, Russel Uhrenholdt of 67 years; children, Dave, Ken (MaryAnn) and Anne (Victor) Demjanenko;
grandchildren, James Vanderpool (Karolina Lundmark), Scott (Carrie) Brant, Jennie Brant, Stephen (Theresa) Demjanenko, Carolyn Demjanenjo; great-grandchildren, Sam and Selma
Vanderpool, Alex and Lily Brant; niece, Dale Ann Raymond; nephew, Curtis Raymond.

Ruth earned her Bachelor’s degree in 1955 then taught kindergarden. She received her master’s degree in library science from Geneseo while her children were in junior high and
high school. She was a librarian for the Rochester City School District. She was a longtime member and very active with Elmgrove United Methodist Church, a Girl Scout Leader, a
member of Silver Squares and Copycats Western Square Dance Club; she enjoyed volunteering at Unity Hospital and the medical building and with SWEM. Ruth enjoyed biking,
camping, reading, canoeing, cross country skiing, gardening, feeding birds, going to the RPO and the theater. She was involved with RIFC/Global Connections and United Marraige
Encounter for many years. She lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ruth’s celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Elmgrove United Methodist Church with a reception to follow. Private interment, Elmgrove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SWEM, World Vision or Elmgrove United Methodist Church in her memory. For more information and to sign her online guestbook, visit meesonfamily.com

  2. In the 1955-56 school year, she was my kindergarten teacher, in Mishawaka, Indiana. I have remembered her fondly all these years. She left good memories. To her children, I am sorry for your loss.
