Greece: Saturday, September 11, 2010 at age 85. Predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Geraldine; son, Richard J.; brothers, Ted and Joe; sisters, Agnes, Edith and Estelle. Survived by his son, Alan (Bev) Richter; daughters, Aileen Sousa and Mary Claire Richter; grandchildren, Brian Richter, Diane (Adam) Cummings, Carolyn (Chris) Keenan, Laura (Rob) Blinn and Joseph Sousa; sisters and brothers-in-law, Selma Schmerbeck, Arline (Bud) Nealon, Eunice LaVigne, Bernice Hammill, Peggy Vay, Marge (John) Ryan, Mary Lou Lester, Sister Concepta Vay, SSJ; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Dick was the Past Commander of the Keith Miller Post # 6595. He was a 40 year retiree of DuPont. No prior calling. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday (Sept 21st) 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the School of the Holy Childhood or the Sisters of St. Joseph in his memory.

    It’s with great sadness that I learned about your dad’s passing. ‘Uncle Dick’ as he preferred me to call him, was always full of smiles and common sense. He was my Dad’s best friend and I know he will miss him terribly. I have many great memories of your parents. I saw your Dad in May and will forever remember his kindness to me.
