Richard L. Bogal

Rochester: Sunday, December 29, 2013 at age 69. Predeceased by his parents, John Bogal Sr. and Carolina (Pyrkasz); wife, Virginia (Gadawski); brother, John Bogal, Jr. Survived by his brother, Walter (Helen) Bogal of Niagara Falls, NY; cousin, Sally (Donald) Galmbacher of Orchard Park, NY; nephews, Michael and Peter Bogal of Niagara Falls, NY; niece, Caroline Bogal of Boston, MA; many cousins. Richard graduated from Bishop Duffy High School in Niagara Falls, NY. He served 4 years in the Air Force which included a tour in Tripoli and was a member of the VFW Post in Niagara Falls, NY. He attended the University of Wisconsin and retired from Eastman Kodak where he worked on the Spy Satellite Program. After retirement, Richard took culinary classes, enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling, playing bingo and his casino trips. He enjoyed working at the Kirk Road Elementary School and playing with his schnauzers. He will be missed by family and friends who where there to encourage him through the years. Friends may call Thursday (January 2nd) 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday (January 3rd) 9:00 AM at Holy Cross Church. Interment, Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm or the Animal Shelter of your choice in his memory.
