Greece: Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at age 90, surrounded by his loving family. Raymond was born August 31, 1918. Predeceased by his brothers, Bruce Roth & Robert Roth; sisters, Geraldine Fitzgerald & Shirley Dietschler. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret G. Roth; daughter, Margaret Ann (Ronald) Call; sons, Raymond J. (Frances) Roth, Jr. & Tyler H. (Patricia) Roth; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law; many friends. Ray is a Veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army. On his return, he worked for Eastman Kodak Co. for 24 years and also successfully ran his own contractor/building business. During the last 11 years before retirement, he enjoyed working strictly on building projects. He was an avid fisherman. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time and fishing with family and friends. His favorite fishing spots were Braddock’s Bay, the Genesee River and Cayuga Lake (Seneca Falls). Ray’s upbeat personality and good nature will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Friends may call, Friday 2-4 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Service will be held following visitation at 4 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service, Saturday 10 A.M. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (please meet at the Dewey Avenue Gate of the cemetery). Per ray’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help Isabella Roth (great-granddaughter) fight her battle with leukemia, (Checks made payable to Raymond Roth Jr., 308 Rockway Drive, Rochester NY 14612) in his memory.
