Peter Sarkis
April 23, 1920 ~ April 14, 2007
Saturday, April 14, 2007. Peter is predeceased by his wife, Rachel Sarkis. Survived by daughters, Carol (Francis) Antonelli, Gloria (Warren Bacon) Tomassi, Janice (Terance) Meagher; sister, Mae Elhilow; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; friend, Mary Ellen Lundy. Peter was a proud Silver Star recipient veteran of World War II. The family thanks' the staff and residents at St. John's Home 3 South for the loving care given to Peter.
Friends may call Wednesday 4-8 PM at Vay- Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Service will be celebrated Thursday 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Church (1492 Spencerport Rd.). Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Nicholas Church 1492 Spencerport Road Rochester, NY 14606 or St. John's Home, 150 Highland Ave., Rochester, NY 14620 in his memory

I was sorry to see that Pete passed. He seemed to me to be a real man’s man — loved his family and his country, gave a good handshake, and looked you straight in the eye when he talked to you. It was a privilege to know him.
