LAZZARO, PETER G. Hilton/Rochester: Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the age of 96 after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his wife, Lillian C. Lazzaro; sisters, Josephine Guarino, Rose Muscarella, Adeline Ruffino & Fanny Tomasino; brother, Frank Lazzaro. He is survived by his daughters, Judy Ann (Joseph) DePalma & Marianne A. Lazzaro (Robert J. Bialecki); grandchildren, Andrea Ann Nasso (Daniel Galiotti), Joseph C. DePalma (Bridget Massaro), Roberta (Jeffrey) Bittel, Robin (Frederick) Mundorff, Melissa Coppini (Alan Ward), Anthony DePalma (Paula Hallowell), & Roni (John) McHugh; great-grandchildren, Christina (Adam) Green, Samantha Nasso, Bridget, Erick, Chelsea & Dalton Mundorff, Kyle Ludgate, & Anthony Coppini III, Ryan & Andrew Bittel, Joseph G. DePalma & Jack McHugh; great-great-granddaughter, Brooklynne Ellis; many nieces and nephews; his dear companion, Marion Albergo; his caring neighbors, John and Grace Indovino; many dear friends. Peter worked as a tailor at Bond Clothing for 35 years before moving on to a 16-year career as a City Court Marshall for the City of Rochester. Friends are invited to call, Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 4-7 pm at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece Chapel, 1075 Long Pond Road. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Peter's life will be held, Wednesday, March 17, 2010, 10AM, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 60 Martha Street, Spencerport, NY, 14559. Interment to follow Mass in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lifetime Care, Hospice of Rochester, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester 14623-2988 in his memory.

A trait you have instilled in me. I will always remember out trips to Florida, going to the Amusement Parks, and the time you got pulled over bringing me back to Jr. High School.     I am so sad that I didn’t make it to NY soon enough to see you one last time alive, but you were very important to me and I will cherish the memories we shared and remember all the fun times and words of wisdom you shared with me.
