An Everlasting Friendship I want to dedicate the following in honor of Patty’s memory to her father, her brothers and sisters, their spouses, and especially to Patty’s nieces and nephews. I first met your Aunt Patty when most of you were little tots. It was then I saw her love for children. The memories of pool parties at Grandpa Tony’s and Grandma Josie’s house on Englert Street. The Halloween parties, toga party and other family gatherings. There is a running joke in the family that everytime my sister Bessie was at a ‘Sofia’s party’ it was little Greg who questioned ‘Why is Bessie here, she’s not family?’ No Bessie and I weren’t family, but over the next 30 years your Aunt Patty had become like a second ‘kid’ sister to me. I had the opportunity to see her love for my niece & nephew, as the same she gave to all of you! In particular, this past summer my nephew got to really know Patty and come to love her! Patty would play with him, and on one occasion she was driving his go cart all around the outside of his house. That would remind me of the times she would play and love all of you. I could see after playing with him, she was tired; I said Patty take it easy. She said it made her feel good, like she was a kid again. After she left my sister-in-law said to Matthew; Patty’s 43 years old and not feeling well. To that my nephew said ‘mommy Patty is 10 years old’ she was driving my go cart. To him your Aunt Patty was a child like himself. Even through her sickness, I could see in her eyes the joy in playing with him brought back her memories of all of you as little kids. I know the love she gave all of you will be passed on to your children by the memories you all had with Aunt Patty. I know her memory will be with my niece and nephew, along with other family and friends and their children. On Monday night when I heard of Patty’s passing, Gina Gingello had my sister-in-law call me to say I should see the horoscope for Monday in the newspaper. I read it not that I really get into horoscopes at all, but it was unreal what I read. The stars in heaven were real! So here it is’¦ Taurus (Patty’s sign) Quote: ‘When you know what you want (like you do today) almost any path leads to it. Circulate far and wide, make inquiries. Doors swing open and happy people greet you’. Patty your door to heaven has swung open, your long and courageous battle has been won! The happy people, Josie, Uncle Rickie and Jenny have greeted you to the everlasting kingdom! May the memory of you live on in future generations to come. Patty, Rest in Peace, Love ya! Vinny

Dear Aunt Patty, I was coloring you some pictures that I was going to give you next week when we came to visit. Uncle Tony called and gave us the news. I was very upset and I cried a lot. I think about you everyday. Will misses you too. My mom said that you are looking down on us from heaven and GOD needed you more than we did. I will never forget you. She also said you are with your mommy now. I know that she is happy to see you. Mommy said that Will will never have a poopin’ problem again because his poopin’ pal will make sure that it won’t happen. Thank you for the yummy carrot cake you got me after we went horseback riding. I had lots of fun with you and can’t wait to use my giant bubble blower again that you got me. Mommy said that one day I will see you again in heaven. I love you. Isabella and Baby Will

To My Little Patty Baby…I want to say how blessed I was to have you for a friend. You had the BIGGEST heart and you were so generous. I don’t want to think about how hard it is going to be not to hear your laugh. It was so unfair for you to have been so sick. I will never forget how brave you were even though I knew how afraid you were to go. You were so strong for all of us who loved you and I pray that you are at peace. I thank you for being so good to my Angelina. This morning when we said our prayers instead of asking God to take Aunt Patty’s pain away she said God Aunt Patty doesn’t hurt anymore. I have not told her that you are in Heaven but because of what she said I know that you are. All of the laughs that we shared will be in my heart forever and I promise to never let her forget her precious little Aunt Patty. Watch over her please and everytime time she puts a pair of ‘flip flops’ on, I know you will be smiling down on her. I love you so much my girlfiend. Lisa xoxo
