Rochester: Most beloved mother, wife and friend, Friday July 11th 2014. Surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband George M Ferris, parents, Edward and Lena Suess of R.I. sister Catherine and brother Teddy. Survived by her adoring children, Edward Ferris, David (Chan) Ferris, Helene (Joseph) Nesser, George M Ferris II, James Ferris, grandchildren, Daniel, Gonzalo, Maria (1st LT Richard Benkovics), Tony (Melissa) Ferris, Katherine, Matthew, Samantha , Joshua, Grace, Joseph III, Mariah, Tommy and Lianna along with her seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and dear friends. Norma was a professional dancer and singer and traveled with the Ann Dell Dance Troup during and after WWII. She was also a talented artist, loved animals and most of all her family. Norma was a stay at home mom widowed at the age of 42 left to raise five children on her own with no family nearby. We were privileged and blessed to have her for our mother. She is our hero. We love you Always and Forever Mom. 'Big like a Church'. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday (July 15th) 11:00 AM at St. Anne Church, 1600 Mt. Hope Ave. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
