Greece: Born, May 7, 1912, passed peacefully, Friday, February, 21, 2014 at age 101. Predeceased by her parents, James and Maria Provenzano; husband, Joseph Pignato; son, James L. Pignato; brothers, Frank, William and Samuel Provenzano; sisters, Rose Pozzanghera, Laura Provenzano, Angela Giardino, Josephine Hurysz. Survived by her daughters, Margaret E. Pignato and Mary R. (Bruno) Gugliotta; granddaughter, Shareen (Michael) Spoleta; great-granddaughters, Jennifer, Lindsay and Kristen Spoleta; brother, Dominic (Magdalene) Provenzano; sister, Jennie Rossi; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Edna Tina Wilson Living Center for the loving care given to Mary.
Friends may call Tuesday (Feb 25th) 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday (Feb 26th) 9:30 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 50 Prince Street Rochester, NY 14607, Visiting Nurse Service, 2180 Empire Blvd, Webster, NY 14580 or Monroe Ambulance, 1669 Lyell Ave. Rochester, NY 14606 in her memory.
