Mary Elizabeth Cilano
Greece: died after a brief illness on September 12, 2021.
She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Cilano; her brother, Anthony Cilano; her brother in law, Larry MacLarty. She is survived by her siblings, James (Peggy) Cilano, Joanne MacLarty, Thomas (Elizabeth) Cilano, Sarah (Ed) Klimek, Ann (Paul) Lindsay, Joseph (Becky) Cilano and Vincent (Dana) Cilano.
She was a wonderful aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mary worked for years at Genesee Hospital as a pediatric tech and shared many stories from that time. She was a loving caretaker for her parents during their final years. Mary was skilled at counted cross stitch and created many beautiful heirlooms for everyone in the family. Mary was faith-filled, self-giving, humble and family oriented. She was a quiet, loving presence in the family.
She enriched the lives of others and will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Friends may call Friday (Sept 17th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday (Sept 18th) 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center/Lifetime Care ℅ Rochester Regional Health Foundations, 330 Monroe Ave, Suite 400, Rochester, NY 14607 or give.rochesterregional.org.
