August 9, 1930 ~ October 8, 2008
Greece: Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at age 78. Predeceased by her daughter, Gail Peters. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Jerry Peters; sons, James O. (Debbie) Peters & Kevin (Karin) Peters; daughter, Annie (Augie) Tucciarello; brother, Norm Knitter; sister, Rosemarie (Carl) Schrader; grandchildren, Lisa Marie Ann (John) Holley, James O. Peters III, Aydin Peters & Kelly Taylor (Tucciarello); great-grandchildren, Elisabeth Holley and one on the way; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends.
Mom always made sure that everyone was taken care of. She also had a passion for gardening.
Friends may call Sunday 1-4 P.M. and Monday 5-8 P.M. (Please note times) at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Tuesday, 11:00 A.M. at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery

I was unable to make the visitation today( Lorrie had Chemo) and I just wanted to express my sorrow for all of you. I wish there were words to make you feel better. Hug each other alot!

Mary was my guardian angel, my other mom, my resting place. She gave me so much. Her and Jerry’s home was always open to me with loving arms. I will always remember fondly all the wonderful times at their home and having the honor given to me to care for Jimmy, Kevin, and Annie when they were children. I was very blessed to have Jerry and his entire family as part of my life for the past forty-eight years. Mary I’ll help them keep the cupboard door open for you. My love to you Mary forever. CARLEEN…
