Marilyn J. Heeder
Rochester: Beloved aunt, cousin and friend, passed peacefully in her sleep on Christmas morning at the age of 96. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Bessie Heeder; her 4 sisters; 2 brothers. She is survived by generations of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Marilyn had a long career as a Librarian at Eastman Kodak Company. During her career and after retiring she kept active at her church and was a proud member of the VFW auxiliary, Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the Rochester Federation of Women’s Club for over fifty years until her death. She contributed much to fund raising for the Susan B. Anthony House.
Early years saw Marilyn bowling, golfing and world traveling. Later in life she enjoyed playing bridge, sewing dolls, knitting, chocheting, sewing plastic canvas and was an avid reader. She lovingly crafted handmade gifts and charity items. Marilyn loved playing bingo with her great-great nephew, Jared Bertsch.
Loved by all, Marilyn was truly a benevolent woman who will be greatly missed by many.

We love and miss you.
My husband and I met Marilyn at Sunday Evening Club at the former Brick Church, now DUPC, in 1957. We were active in the group until our marriage in 1959. We have exchanged Christmas cards yearly for many decades. Marilyn had beautiful handwriting which never changed. We enjoyed keeping in touch with her if only yearly. She led a long and very productive life.
