Marie F. Smarcz
March 31, 1921 ~ August 30, 2008
Rochester: Saturday, August 30, 2008 at age 87. Predeceased by her husband, Walter Smarcz. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Nancy) Smarcz, Richard Smarcz, Robert (Beth) Smarcz; daughter, Nancy (Michael) Murphy; grandchildren, Lisa (Bryan), Mary, Benjamin, Nicholas, Lorelei (Sonny), Suzette, Danielle, Michael, Michelle, William, Becca, Nathan & Emily (Marcelo); great-grandchildren, Zachary, Dylan, Tyler, Princess, Peter, Angel, Sophia & Daniel; many friends.
Marie grew up in the City of Rochester. She held many happy memories of raising her four children with her husband, Walt, on Stonewood Avenue, where she lived from 1947 until 2006. She enjoyed antiques, Christmas, and giving gifts to her grandchildren. Her final two years were spent at Edna Tina Wilson Living Center where she made great friends playing Bingo and other card games. The family would like to express their sincere thank you to the staff and volunteers at Edna Tina Wilson Living Center for their compassion and care.
Friends may call Tuesday 4-7 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Service will be held, Wednesday, 9 A.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Riverside Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Edna Tina Wilson Living Center or Lipson Cancer Center.
