Margery Alice Dobbins (Dickerson) Rochester: passed away on April 18, 2024, in Rochester, New York. She was born on June 17, 1935. Alice was a beloved teacher in the Greece Central School district for many years. She touched the lives of many students and colleagues with her dedication and passion for education. She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she served, sang in the choir, and lived in a loving community. In her free time, Alice enjoyed quilting, sewing, singing, spending time spoiling her cats, and solving puzzles. Alice is survived by her daughters, Sarah Renick (Bill), Charlotte Laughlin, her sons Deo Matthew Dobbins (Laurie), Robert Dobbins (Tracey), 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and her brother Robert Dickerson. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:30 pm on Sunday, April 21st, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3450 W. Ridge Road, Rochester, New York 14626. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lollipop Farm, 99 Victor Rd, Fairport, NY 14450. Contributions can also be made online at https://www.lollypop.org/. While Alice will be deeply missed by all who knew her, let us take solace in the knowledge that she has been received into the Kingdom of Heaven and now rests in the company of the saints. Her spirit of generosity and compassion remains a beacon of light for all who knew her.

Alice was a caring, giving teacher to so many students at West Ridge Elementary School, including our son, Chad, who felt very cared about and asked to be in her class for the second time when she moved up a grade. We got to know Alice, and had a personal relationship for years, including the honor of attending her retirement party. She instilled the love of learning in countless children, a true blessing. Be at peace, Alice.
