Kendall: Peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 22, 2012 at age 71, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by her loving and devoted companion, Ward Lewis; children, Tim (Lisa) Lynn, Francine (Ken) Luciano & Michele (Sean) Boyle; grandchildren, McKenzie Lynn, Kristen Luciano & Liam and Madeline Boyle; brother, Arthur (Karen) Podsiadly; sisters, Patricia Bowden & Roslyn Polvino; special niece, Marcia Lewis; special nephew, John (Deborah) Lewis; nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Walter & Rose Podsiadly; sisters, Elizabeth 'Betty' Lewis & Helen Podsiadly. Marcia enjoyed life to its fullest, with a passion for quilting and she found great joy and comfort in the presence of her friends. She had a great sense of humor and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Friends may call, Friday, May 25th, 4-7 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, May 26th, 10 A.M. at St. Mark's Parish, 16789 Kenmor Rd. Kendall, NY. Interment will follow Mass in Beechwood Cemetery Kendall, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kidney cancer Association (KidneyCancer.org) or Lifetime Care (Lifetimecare.org) in her memory.

  5. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I grew up across the street from Marcia on Karen Drive in Gates. I have many wonderful memories. Marcia was a very good friend to my mother for many years.

    I worked with Marcia at Transcat for several years. I am saddened at her passing but would like for you know I that shared so many wonderful conversations with her. I appreciated her pleasant assistance at work and her wonderful humor, and yes, her generous gifts of home grown garlic and the many wood toys she purchased from me. I will miss her, she was a fine lady.
