Greece: Monday, April 21, 2008 at age 97. Predeceased by her husbands, Ernest & Ervin Appleman. She is survived by her daughter, Claire (John) Small of Canada; grandchildren, Chris (Rob Valenti) Haas, Jack (Tanis Mager) Haas, Matthew (Terry) Haas; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Adam Valenti; nephews, Edward Reichart and Donald Mirras; niece, Jean “Penny” Corneilus; many friends. Madalyn’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Ello Dennis and her many friends at Honeoye Lake for their care and support over the past many years. Services held privately. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Honeoye held at the convenience of family
I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HER SQUARE DANCE LESSONS IN THE BASEMENT OF ST. HELEN’S SCHOOL AND THE GENEROUS WAY I WAS TREATED WHEN I MOWED THE LAWN.
Our thoughts are with you and your family on your loss of Madalyn. We hope your memories are many and happy. Those of us from Honeoye remember Madalyn fondly. She was everyone’s friend and a wonderful neighbor. Each year she happily hosted the tract picnic–we haven’t had one since Madalyn became ill. We give thanks for her memory and her friendship.
