Survived by his loving wife, Delma; son, Juan Rivera; daughters, Rosa Rivera (Robert Cosme), Lourdes Rivera; brother, Antonio Rivera; sister, Iris Martinez; grandchildren, R.C. Cosme, Ryan, Daniel & Jamie Rivera, Melissa (Robert) Peterson, Marvin Correa; great-grandchildren, Antonio, Elexa, Jamie, Eva, Larry, Marlena & Jonathan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call Wednesday 10-12 NOON at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road, where his Funeral Service will follow calling at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hamilton Manor Nursing Home in his memory.

    I only met him once, both him and his sweet wife and was glad I did.
    Hanging on to the good memories is what helps to get us through the pain of losing someone so dear.
    Those beautiful blue eyes this man had have been passed down to my Grandson and also much love I am sure.

  10. There is no abuelito like mine. I was blessed to have him as long as I did. I know he is the best dressed angel & the most handsome one in Heaven. His eyes were as beautiful as his soul. Christmas was his favorite time of the year, so it was so special for him to pass on that day. I hurt because he is gone, but I’m at peace because he is no longer in pain. Now we will take care of abuelita Delma his true love & soulmate till they day she joins her handsome blue eyed angel , my grampa & hero Luis Rivera.
