Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute

Lisa grew up in Rochester, NY, where she also began her journey and passion as a mother – eventually of four boys. Enamored by them, Lisa left the workforce to become a homemaker and devote her time to her children. Her garden – lush with tomatoes, strawberries, and rhubarb – made for locally renowned sauces, jams, and pies. The luckiest among us can still savor her last jars of chili sauce. Lisa’s nurturing disposition extended not just to her boys but to all animals; dogs, cats, and birds always roamed the house.

Her children eventually grew (against her will), and Lisa returned to school and earned a degree in Accounting. Her sons now across state – and sometimes international – lines, she found reignited passion in music and dance. She also continued her love of nature and animals, and enjoyed them on camping trips to the Adirondacks and Lake George. But the home-baked and canned goods never stopped coming in the mail.

July 31, 2023. Lisa is survived by her children Jason (Daniella) Perkins, Chris Perkins, Andrew Perkins, and Joshua (Carly) Carey, by her grandchildren Jacob and Amelia Perkins, and by her siblings Michael Tanney and Laurie Smith.

Lisa’s family will hold a private interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Saint Francis Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley, 494 East Ave Rochester, NY 14607.

She was my everything since 2010. And we grew in love until the end and she was very happy because she fell in love again
