Leon R. Bufano Rochester: May 30, 2018 at age 94. Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Judy Bufano; children, Craig (Linda Schlaffer), Lynn Edger & Edie Gunther; step-sister, Joan Nicolosi; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews & cousins; loving family & dear friends. Predeceased by his parents, Charles (Anne) Bufano; siblings, Pauline (Thomas) Cardile, Modesta (Frank) Lalinga, Lawrence (Dorothy) Bufano, Eugene (Lucille) Bufano, Paul (Anna) Bufano, & Lucille (William) Bowman. Leon graduated from Ithaca College. He was a proud veteran as a Flight Officer in the United States Army 1944-46, a retired Lieutenant Colonel veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves 1948-1984. He retired after 44 years as chief Physical Therapist at Visiting Nurse Service and established the rehabilitation facility at St. Ann’s Community. Leon was an animal lover and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Leon’s visitation will be held Monday, June 4th 9-11 AM where his celebration of life will follow at 11 AM with military honors at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Rd., Greece Chapel.   7. Dear Judy, a voice from your distant pass. I was thinking about you and what you meant you my life and went to search online to find out where and how you are and found Lee’s obit. This is five years late but I am so sorry. You two were such a darling couple way back when you and I worked together at Monroe Community Hospital. Unbeknownst to you, you are one of my life’s most memorable people because of the kind and supportive mentoring you gave me. I hope you are still able to get notes posted here and know that I love you and am sending my deepest condolences.
