Guestbook

  1. Grandma was the most loving, loyal, and supportive woman I’ve known. She was my hero and my best friend. She stood by my side no matter what and always encouraged me to improve my world everyday, especially when it came to facing fears or insecurities. Her strength was unbreakable, her joy was remarkable, and her beauty sparkled. She was truly astounding. Her legacy will not be lost, but will continue to live within the generations that follow. I love you always and forever, grandma!

  2. My brothers and I were blessed to have this treasure as our Grandma. Beautiful, sweet, funny and intelligent; she was always a pleasure to be with. Even at 98, her energy was strong and gleaming in her eyes. Her love for the family was evident every time we saw her. Thank you Grandma for teaching us the values of hard work, loyalty, education, resilience and love. You will live on in our hearts. ❤️

  3. My deepest sympathy to Doug, Lorean, Tiffany and their families. Laura inspired good in all who knew her. She was an amazing woman, smart, witty and with a love for life that she shared with everyone she met and a smile that could light a room!

  4. With our deepest sympathy and love to Doug, Lorean, and Tiffany and your families. We so valued the times we were with Lore over the years. She will be greatly missed.

  5. Grandma has been a guiding light through my life and many others. Her impact on people’s lives extend far beyond her family, and that’s why any room I walked into I would be greeted with compliments from people telling me how great my grandma was. Grandma was always upbeat and the life of the party. She brightened up any room she was in. She had a calming presence about her, and one of the things I love about her the most is how she always was positive and looking forward. Despite all the things that she had lived through, Grandma lived in the moment more than anyone else I know. Even more important, she was always positive, lighthearted, and joking around. We shared countless laughs every time we were together, and grandma never hesitated to talk about the things she loved, most of all her family.

Grandma was not always so happy to have gone into her assisted living facility, so I tried to visit her every day which brought us closer than I could have imagined. I cherish all the time we spent just hanging out, chatting, and just relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. Nothing felt better than knowing that Grandma was looking forward to seeing me every single day, and even better seeing Grandma’ eyes light up as I walked in.
There are so many things I will miss about grandma, from her German potato salad to her stories from Germany, but nothing more than her company. Grandma lived all 98 years of her life happily and passionately, but unfortunately now it is time to say goodbye. Mit liebe Grandma.

  6. Our condolences for your loss. It was always a joy to meet with Laura. A ray of sunshine. Marvin Becker, Rochester Celiac Support Group.
