Rochester: Thursday, January 1, 2009 at age 80. June is predeceased by her husbands, Kenneth Griffith & Joseph Gross. She is survived by her children, Karen (David) Chamberlin, Wendy (Carol Cloen) Cornell & Kenneth Griffith; step-children, Gary Gross, Alan Gross, Brian (Ken Murphy) Gross, Darryl (Mary Ellen) Gross, Mary Beth (Michael) Casaccia, Sheryl (Robert) Drago, Terry Michael (Olivia) Gross, Michelle Gross, Lucille (James) Koonts, Joan (Rob) Todd, Kerry Jean (Tommy) Vazquez & Cindy Wurzer; 28 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Chester 'Chet' (Marge) Maynard; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. Friends may call Monday, 4-7 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Service will be held, Tuesday, 10 A.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 in her memory.

  2. Dear Aunt June,

    I tried to call you when I recieved your Christmas Card this year. I now know why I wasn’t able too reach you. One of my fondest memories was when we had Mom’s 60th surpise bithday party. Dad knew nothing about it…he would have told… he was fussing about the fact that the yard was a mess…most are in the early spring in Rochester! You told him if anyone didn’t like it to give them a rake,shovel and wheel barrow and have them clean it up! Not another word came out of his mouth about it!!! My sympathies to Karen, Wendy, Kenny Jr. and all of Joe’s family. I wish I could be there for the funeral but the trip from Florida just wasn’t possible. …..your niece, Cindy

  3. June. I will miss you dearly. I will always remember the trips we took and the fun we had. Our ‘Birthday Club’ will not be the same without you. I am glad I had you as a friend, and we treasure the memories we made.

  5. We are unable to attend the calling hours or sevice, but we wanted to extend our sympathy to her family. June was a member of a group of ladies the worked for the county that met regularly at Keenan’s restaurant. June will be missed greatly by the rest of the group.
