Los Angeles, CA: Monday, February 11, 2008 at age 83 of lung cancer. Formerly of Queens, New York and resident for many years in Rochester; wife of the late V. James 'Jiggs'Âť Chiavaroli, former election commissioner of Monroe Co., and mother of Linda Chiavaroli Rosenbloom and mother-in-law of David L. Rosenbloom, both of Los Angeles. Memorial services at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, NY, to be held at a spring date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Garth Fagan Dance, 50 Chestnut St., Rochester, NY 14604.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your mom. These will be sad times for you, but glad to know that she was out there nearby.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the death of your mom. As her next door neighbor for more than 20 years, your mom and dad were very special people to both me and my family. They were the best ‘proxy’Âť grandparents anyone could find for a family that was new to the neighborhood. It was a pleasure to have her as a friend and a neighbor and I am sure you will miss her, as we did when she moved to California.
On the lighter side, I will also remember some of the funny things. Most neighbors often borrow tools or a cup of sugar, however we were different. The only things we ever borrowed were bottles of booze. It seems we both always ran out of something during our parties and I will miss making her Manhattans which she loved so dearly. I hope all is well with both you and David and if you ever get to Rochester please give me a call (585) 259-6510.
