  1. Dear Friends,
I read Mrs. Salamone’s obituary in the paper and immediately smiled as I remembered her and Mr. Salamone from years ago. During my college days, some of us would stop over at Donnie’s parents’ home for a visit. One time we had the most delicious roast beef dinner that Mrs. Salamone had prepared. I still remember it to this day, as well as the gracious hosts both Mr. and Mrs. Salamone were. Later on, I was lucky enough to run into them several years in a row at the Naples Grape Festival where they sold items they had collected…the Salamones always made me feel so special – with lots of hugs and kisses as we caught up. Please know that I’m thinking of all of you. Wrap your memories of Mrs. Salamone around you like a warm hug.
    Sincerely,
    Kathy Mannella

  2. Dear Vincent and Don,

When I think of the Salamone family, only happy and enjoyable times come to mind. ‘Boating on the Bay’. I have always loved your Mom and Dad for their warm and caring ways. The best of health and happiness to both of you and your families.

    Love,
    Sue Weston

  3. I just want to take this moment to extend my sympathy, thoughts and prayers to the Salamone family on the loss of Josphine. I was very fortunate as a child and into my adulthood to spend great times with Aunt Josephine and Uncle Vince. I always admired their love, admiration and loyalty to one another as a married couple. They were indeed ‘soulmates’. I never once saw them apart until Uncle Vince passed away. Aunt Josephine knew how lucky she was as he knew how lucky he was to have her. Their support of one another, their laughter and joy were an inspiration. God bless Aunt Josphine as she enters Heaven and joins Vincent once again. I am sure he be waiting with open arms to welcome her and begin yet another journey together. All my love, Cathy

  4. To Vince, Don & your entire family. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember your Mom (and your Dad) w/great fondness. Many years ago(45 or 50 by now) we were best friends when your family lived in the city. I still hold great memories of our times playing basketball in your backyard, or football in the street. Your parents made us all feel so welcome that your house at 19 Upton Park became the place we all gathered. It was a special place because they were special people. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
