Survived by his soul mate of 62 years Jeanne Walczak; adoring children, Steven (Sally), Wendy (Richard) Brockmann, Lynn (Walt) Kowalczuk, Barbara (John) O'Brien, Gary (Sara) and Mark; grandchildren, Stephanie, Valerie, Rich (Tina) Brockmann, Jamie (Corey) Newell, Jennifer (Richard) Schanen, Kristen (Dan) Rusnack, Chad (Marsha) O'Brien, Ryan, William and Crystal Walczak; great-grandchildren, Maris, McKenna, Brianna, Nicholas, Ella, Alexis, Aiden, Morrigan and Kayleigh; sister, Mary Ann L. Walczak (SR. Stephania, SSND.) Joe was a K of C 4th Degree lifetime member of Bishop James E. Kearney Assembly # 0723, K of C Greece Council #3892 Color Guard, a member of Elks Club, a 25 year employee of Lawyers co-op and retired as a engineer planner from Eastman Kodak in 1989. Joe's visitation will be held Friday, November 16th 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 17th, 10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Avenue. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to School Sisters of Notre Dame, 345 Belden Hill Road Wilton, Connecticut 06897 or Notre Dame Learning Center, P.O. Box 77175 Rochester, NY 14617.

  1. Having taught and coached both Gary and Mark, I got to know Joe and his family. He was an extraordinary man with an extraordinary family. My family and I extend our sincere sympathies.

  2. He was a wonderful man and has an amazing family. I’m proud to say I knew him and I hope he rests in peace until we can all join him again in heaven.

  3. I didn’t know Mr. Walczak as well as most but it was evident that he is a good soul. He had a strong and gentle presence that is unforgettable. Be comforted in his peace.My prayers go out to you all.

  7. We never had the privelege of meeting Mr. Joe Walzcak. We have had the privilege of meeting his family. Gary so sorry for the loss of your dad. Ryan, I am so sorry for the loss of your grandfather. Sara and Crystal I am so sorry for your loss. One never knows the right thing to say during these difficult times. Whether someone is 8 years old or 80 it is the personal loss that is so heartbreaking.   11. My wife and I worked with Joe and we socialized with Joe and Jean in the KofC and

    various other events. They were always a pleasure to be with.

    Joe is someone you never forget. He was an outstanding individual, engineer,

    and craftsman. His work was always of the highest quality. He had a

    very high sence of reason which was evident in his decision making in whatever he did.

    He was liked by everyone he came in contact with. He will be missed by everyone who

    knew him. Surely, he will have God’s favor.

  14. I never saw Joe and Jeanne apart and I will always see them together when I recall them. He was always so welcoming and sweet when I saw him at family gatherings. He will be missed at gatherings. My heart goes out to the family. I know he was welcomed in heaven by many of our families loved ones! Love Flip
