GREECE: Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at age 86. Survived by his loving wife, Nancy W. Elko; sons, Jeff (Tammy Nacca) Williams, Colin (Jean) Williams; sisters, Helene Miller, Mildred Simmons; grandchildren, Tiffany, Megan, Sarah & Caitlin Williams; several nieces and nephews. Joe was a Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post #468.
Friends may call Friday 4-7 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Service will held Saturday at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lifetime Care Hospice in his memory.

Aunt Nancy, Graham’s favorite memory of Uncle Joe would be our lunch at the ‘burger joint’ near the lake. For me, there are way too many memories to just pick one. We were glad to have visited with him in July this year. Today and every day, you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Carol and Graham
Nancy and Family:
We are saddened to learn of Joe’s passing. The last memory I have is talking with him and Sally Baechle at the Mall while you were shopping with the grandchildren. I never would have dreamed he was 86 yrs old; he acted so much younger.
Whenever we came to Belles & Beaus, he always recognized us and made us feel welcome there. And always invited us into your square.
Jerry remembers him from Delco too and says his nickname was ‘Candy Joe’ because he loved candy bars.
Joe was a fine man, a good dancer and easy to be around; a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
I know you will miss him very much; you two were so compatible together. Our deepest sympathies to you and your family on your great loss.
Nancy, our love goes out to you at this difficult time. We will always remember Joe and your kindness toward us as we learned to square dance and we are grateful for the friendship over the years. Our lives are richer for having known you both. Our prayers are with you.
