Hilton: June 8, 2011. Went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ, at age 73. Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elaine Schaefer; children, Bonnie (Robert) Lewis, Michael John Schaefer, Wendy (Thomas) Kowalczyk & Debra (John) DiMascio; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles William (Patricia) Schaefer; mother-in-law, Frances Maynard; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. Jack is a retiree of Eastman Kodak after over 35 years of service. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Friends may call Sunday, June 12th, 2-5 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece Chapel, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Memorial Service will be held, Monday, June 13th, 11 A.M. at First Bible Baptist Church, 990 Manitou Road. Interment in Parma Union Cemetery held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace & Truth Sports Park, c/o First Bible Baptist Church, 990 Manitou Road, Hilton NY 14468 (FBBC.info) in his memory.

  3. I am so sorry for your loss. John Edward was a good man, and loved dearly. His life reflected his love for the Lord. His generosity & kindness to me will not be forgotten. Words cannot express how badly I feel for the entire family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  4. It was a privilege to call Jack a friend. He was a godly example of a servant of God. We have many great memories of special times together. Our hearts and prayers are with the Schaefer family ~ asking God to enfold you in His loving arms and carry you through these difficult days. We rejoice that Jack is with the Lord!

  5. It will be one week early Wednesday afternoon that my husband died in front of me. There is a great void in my life and I am trusting the Lord to fill that. I miss his presence and wisdom and the security that I had with him for 52 years. Til we see each other again, Jack, in Heaven.

Jack can’t really believe you are finally walking the those streets of gold..we will truly miss your smiles and golfing you and Elaine did so many years’ One thing for sure we all have very happy memores espically when you guys came down to the mission fields and taking us out to eat. we will never forget you dear brother whos truly serve his Lord;;Marcia & jim bob

I don’t know if you remember us at FBBC but we had such a good time with Mike and he was a very close friend of our son , John . Wendy , Eddie always keeps us informed of you and I remember you and your Mom. I will be praying for all of you .   9. Wendy, Tom, and children, I was so sorry to hear of Wendy’s father’s passing. I know he was very close to his grandchildren and will be sorely missed by all. Please accept my sincere condolences. He’s now watching over all of you from heaven above. If you listen carefully you will hear him in your heart.
