How wonderful for all the children that Joanne touched in her career in the ‘School Health Program’ at the Monroe County Health Dept. Her kindness and carrying manner was truly a blessing to the children in the intercity schools of Rochester. You will sadly be missed, but are now in peace and harmony for ever. I am so thankful to have known Joanne as a friend and co-worker all these years.

I am so very heartbroken over the loss of my childhood friend Joanne. I have so many wonderful memeories of both of us riding the school bus to MOS and spending all those wonderful years together. After MOS we attended Cardinal Mooney and your special friendship continued. Our paths crossed over the past 5 years or so and it was so wonderful to see you and share laughter as we did so often when we were young. You were just as beautiful, cheerful, and sweet as always! It was such a blessing to see you again! I know the Lord has made a very special place for you in heaven. May you know just how much you were loved my dear friend and may you now rest in peace. You will be sadly missed! My condolences to her beloved family and friends.

I met JoAnn when she worked at the County. She was my favorite go-to person when I needed to vent. So funny! We wound up laughing away our problems. She is, indeed, at peace now. I’m so very sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with the Riley family.

I met Joanne when I cared for her mother, Dorothy, when she was at Unity Hospital. Her devotion to her mother was very evident. Now they will be reunited. Condolenced to the rest of the family on the loss of this lovely woman.6

I still can’t believe that you are gone. It was just yesterday that we were doing water aerobics together and then you were gone. I’m not sure what happened but I know now that you are truly at peace. May this next life be good to you. I will miss you my friend.

I will always have fond memories of Joanne during our years at MOS. I remember helping to campaign for her mother when she ran for office. My mother also worked with Joanne at Latta Rd Nursing Home, and spoke very highly of her. I hope that Joanne is finally at peace, and I will add her to my prayer list.

Joanne was my first friend in my life! I can remember walking the beach to her house and sitting on the front porch with Rip (her dad) and he fed us potato chips and pop (I never got those at home) We were together to play every day either at her house or mine, swam, played beach games, rode bikes all over, rode horses together at the Lemke’s. Truly ALL of my BEST childhood memories were with Joanne and the Riley’s I was so saddened to hear of her passing and pray that all of the Riley family know that the Klipps here in Seattle will be missing her and praying for all of you. Hope to see you when I’m in Rochester this fall.

On behalf of the ‘Red Lemcke’ family we send our thoughts and prayers to Joanne’s family with their loss of our dear friend! Fond memories returned quickly of the times Joanne would come to our farm to ride horses over the summer when we were kids. My most fond memory was when my dad (Red) finally agreed to let us ride from Hilton to her house on the lake to swim the horses. What fun we had that summer!!!!!My dad ‘Red’ who was her bus driver sends his regards as well! See you in heaven Joanne!!!!!
