Rochester: January 12, 2010 at age 91. Predeceased by her husband, Hugh Owen. She is survived by her children, James (Carole) Owen & Pat (Jack) Pal; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jill’s family would like to express a sincere thank you to her many caregivers for their outstanding care. Friends may call Saturday, 1-3 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Memorial Service will be held following visitation at 3 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Private interment in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (in memory of her husband Hugh).
Dear Jim, Carole, Pat and Jack, I am so sorry for your loss. Jill was always such a sweetheart. One of the most thoughtful people I have known. She will always be loved. See you saturday. Love, Dee

I was her room mate at Rochester General Hospital in September, 2009. Our friendship began with our first hello. I was truly blessed to have someone nice to share the room with. Our friendship was short but she will always be remembered.
