  7. “Oh take your time don’t live too fast
Troubles will come and they will pass
Go find a woman yeah and you’ll find love
And don’t forget son there is someone up above
And be a simple kind of man
Oh be something you love and understand”

  8. Jean: My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family during this difficult time. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

  9. Jean, so saddened by the news of Jim’s passing. I remember his love of golf from a Christmas party when he and Doug shared golf stories at our table. He was a kind man. Love to you and Taylor.

    • Hi Debbi

Those were certainly fun parties! It was also fun to play golf with Jim. Our adventures always created a story or two!

Hope all is well with you and your family!

  10. I remember coming to do hair one day in the last year or so and he had a Lionel Richie album playing real loud. It took me back in time because I owned the same album as a teenager and played it til it was worn. Jimmy D came into the kitchen and grabbed you and started dancing with you. I was struck by the sweetness of it, and after all these years he was still getting his groove on! I will really miss him…he had a great sense of humor and great taste in music 💕

    • Jimmy D loved his music and would alway pick up a dance! He was a lot of fun! Thank you Luanne for the memory!

  11. I’m going to really miss Uncle Jim. We all got together every Christmas eve since I was born. He was always such a generous, nice guy. Last Christmas eve at Elissa’s house, the party devolved into an inebriated dance party in the kitchen and Uncle Jim was playing air bass to some 80’s rock classic, plucking imaginary strings “The bass really drives the song, don’t you think?” he said, grooving his head. I totally agreed. Rest in piece Uncle Jim. You were one of the greats. I look forward to meeting up again one day and rocking out again in whatever comes after.

  12. I say goodbye to my great friend, my brother in life.
A good man has left us. My heart is broken.
Sincere sympathy to Jean and the family

    • Scott

Jimmy D is now free of Parkinson’s and is soaring in Heaven with Devin. He will live on in our hearts as a happy loving man ! Think of the happy time you had with him, next thing you know you will be smiling! Jimmy D would have wanted it that way!

  13. Jeanne,

We are so sorry for your loss. Lany and I will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

  14. JimmyD not here? It is so hard to believe. One of the most recent things he amazed me with was his matching knowledge of artists and the music with the hosts on Sirius XM channels, particularly his love for Earl Bailey and Deep Tracks! I will truly miss him, Jean and we will keep you and the family in our thoughts and prayers.

    • Roger and Susan,

Jimmy D loved music! He could alway name the artist and the name of the song after hearing a small portion of the music. 🎶 He was a lot of fun!

Thank you for the memories! Be safe.

  15. Jean – Not sure if you remember me but Jim and I worked together at Chase for a while. Been a few years since I have seen Jim but he was a joy to work with. We had a lot of laughs along the way, which was not always easy as we were working with clients who were unable to pay their loans. My memory of Jim is that he liked many obscure blues bands that he introduced me to over the time we worked together. My condolences to you and your family, very sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Jim.

    • Yes Kip, I remember you! Jimmy D certainly loved music! He always did his job…he knew how to make me laugh! He will always remain in our hearts!❤️

  16. Jean, we were so very sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. He was a great mentor to me early in my career, and an even better friend. As many note, he loved music and he introduced me to some of my favorites. A high point was seeing Robben Ford live and in person with him out in Henrietta one night. We will truly miss him and share our sincerest condolences.

    • Jerry “wilber”

Jimmy D loved Robbin Ford! We have a bootleg picture of him above our bed! Thank you for being Jim’s friend! He will always remain in our hearts! 💕

  17. Jean and Taylor
Thinking of you and wishing you moments of peace and comfort. Holding you close in my thoughts and prayer. Hoping you are doing ok.

  19. Jimmy d, Charlie Watts is on his way to share his music with you…imagine being able to hear those drums so close..intense, big guy…you so deserve it

  20. One of the nicest people I’ve ever met. A great mentor and friend. I continued to learn from him
when we worked together at First Niagara. Rest in peace.
