Rochester: July 30, 2009 at age 69 after a long illness. Predeceased by his parents, John & Ruth Brown; brother, Deacon Jay Brown; dear friend, Mary Poliski. He is survived by his brother, Gerald (Marjorie) Brown; sisters, Joanne Weber & Judith Champion; beloved cat, Cheetah; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. James is a retiree of Bausch & Lomb and is a Veteran of the United States Army. James’ family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Strong Memorial Hospital for their professional and compassionate care. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated, Wednesday, August 26th , 7 P.M. at St. Jude of the Apostle Church, 4100 Lyell Road. Interment held privately in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude of the Apostle Church or Golisano’s Children’s Hospital in his memory.

  1. I would like to send my condolences to Jim’s family. I was Jim’s home care nurse during the last year. I always enjoyed spending time with him, he had a great sense of humor and a wonderful smile. I was saddened to hear of his passing, I wish I could have said goodbye. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and I will think about him everytime I feed the squirrels peanuts.
